Marshall Receives Endorsement of Tony Perkins

Top Christian Leader Backs Proven Alabama Attorney General, Calling Him a “Tried-and-True Leader” for U.S. Senate

(Montgomery, Ala.) – Tony Perkins, the nation’s foremost advocate for American families and Christian conservative values, announced today his endorsement of Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall for the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate. In his endorsement letter, Perkins explained why he’s backing Marshall amid a crowded primary field, saying:

“It is my pleasure to personally endorse your candidacy for election to the United States Senate for Alabama. Few can match your record protecting the unborn, fighting for religious liberty, protecting children from the harms of dangerous and irreversible gender transition procedures for minors and more. You have truly been a standard bearer of faith, family and freedom, it is no wonder you have led multiple coalitions of Attorneys General to stand up against the woke agenda of the Biden-years.

“As the state’s top law enforcement official, you’ve overseen a decline in crime rates in Alabama, stood with Alabama’s police officers, and called out lawlessness across the country. As a former police officer, I know your leadership is appreciated in the law enforcement community and needed in the Senate.

“There is no doubt our country is going through a difficult time right now. With challenges mounting at home and abroad it is crucial the American people have Senators with backbone and conviction to lead us through these tumultuous times. You are a tried-and-true leader the people of Alabama can depend on for the battles ahead.

“I wholeheartedly endorse you in your bid for election to the United States Senate for Alabama and will encourage others who care about the preservation of our republic to do so as well.”

This is the latest in a string of high-profile endorsements touting not only Marshall’s conservative principles but also his track record of delivering results for the people of Alabama.

To date, Marshall’s campaign for U.S. Senate has been endorsed by FarmPAC (ALFA), Associated Builders and Contractors of Alabama (ABC), Automobile Dealers Association of Alabama (ADAA) and 50 Alabama sheriffs and district attorneys. Additional endorsements to follow.
